the lost heroes
On an overcast, snow washed morning in early October, with a false start winter prematurely killing what was left of the Fall, Sean Cotton (guitar/vocals), Lopez (bass), and Shon Roper (drums) gathered at an industrial district studio. Bracebridge’s Ghetto Blaster Sound Factory. Out behind the Maple Orchard manufacturing facility, with stacked drums of maple syrup and mountains of chopped and corded logs piled up outside, these three geezers holed up once a week for one month, just to see what could happen. Sure there was a game plan - a strategy going into the sessions, but would it work?
By the warmth of the power tube amps, the mics were positioned and the volumes were set hot, to record whatever happened. Pop songs played loudly… played madly, was the result.
